The Princess of Wales Catherine is undergoing a two-week hospital stay after planned abdominal surgery, Kensington Palace revealed. Although successful, she is expected to be absent from royal duties for several months.
The palace did not disclose further details but clarified it’s unrelated to cancer. Simultaneously, Buckingham Palace disclosed that King Charles III will receive treatment for a benign enlarged prostate.
Catherine’s recovery is anticipated to take three months, and the Prince of Wales will not perform official duties during her hospitalization. The London Clinic, where she underwent surgery, emphasized her privacy, and updates will only be provided for significant information. Once discharged, she’ll recover at home in Windsor.
